A trusted family restaurant in Ingoldmells

The Cherry Tree Ingoldmells has built its reputation on consistency. As a family restaurant, it offers a space where everyone feels comfortable, from young children to older guests. The atmosphere is informal and lively, reflecting the seaside character of Ingoldmells while remaining focused on good food and attentive service.

Visitors often describe the staff as pleasant and approachable. This sense of genuine hospitality plays a big role in why many diners return year after year. The dining room is designed for ease rather than formality, making it an ideal stop after a beach walk, a day at local attractions, or a casual evening out.

Food quality and value that keeps guests coming back

One of the most common themes in guest feedback is value for money. Portions are generous, prices remain reasonable, and the food arrives well prepared. Many diners mention that the meals feel honest and satisfying, without unnecessary complexity.

While some guests note that music levels can occasionally feel a little loud, this rarely overshadows the overall enjoyment. For most people, the combination of tasty food and friendly service defines the experience. Empty plates are a regular sight, which says more than any description ever could.

A menu designed to please every appetite

The menu at The Cherry Tree ingoldmells reflects classic British comfort food alongside popular international favorites. It is broad enough to suit different tastes, yet focused enough to maintain quality across the board.

Sunday carvery and traditional roasts

The Sunday Carvery is one of the most talked about offerings. Known for its generous servings and rich flavors, it often features roast beef, roast turkey, and tender lamb shank. These dishes are served with well cooked vegetables and proper gravy, creating a meal that feels both filling and familiar. Many guests plan their visits around Friday and Sunday specifically to enjoy the carvery experience.

Classic mains and comfort dishes

Beyond roasts, the kitchen delivers a range of comforting meals. Steak pie remains a favorite, praised for its hearty filling and satisfying pastry. Lasagne and spaghetti with chips and garlic bread appeal to those looking for familiar Italian inspired options. The Chinese chicken curry and chicken tikka add variety, offering warming spices without overpowering heat.

Jacket potatoes are another popular choice, especially the chilli and cheese version, which balances richness with comfort. Burger options are also well received, pairing well with chips and a cold drink.

Light bites drinks and desserts

For lighter meals, breakfast plates such as the medium breakfast plate are ideal earlier in the day. Chicken wings and salad sides provide flexible options for sharing or smaller appetites. Drinks like Stella Artois are available for those wanting to unwind, while treats such as the strawberry milkshake bring a nostalgic finish to the meal.

An atmosphere built for families and groups

As a family restaurant, The Cherry Tree ingoldmells understands the needs of groups. Seating is arranged to accommodate families, and the menu choices make ordering simple for children and adults alike. The casual environment allows guests to relax without feeling rushed, which is especially appreciated during busy holiday seasons.

The lively setting reflects the energy of Ingoldmells itself. While the background music adds to the upbeat mood, the focus remains firmly on conversation, food, and shared time at the table.

Realy nice friendly place, with a large car park and plenty of seating, I visited twice during my holiday, the first time was extremely busy due to bank holiday weekend but food arrived quickly and was very tasty we had the spaghetti bolagnaise and jacket potato with chicken curry, which I can recommend. On our second visit it was very quiet due to being mid week we both had jacket potato's but this time found them very dry, however the sides of curry and chilli were very nice. In all a great atmosphere and good quality food at a great price. Very clean and tidy.
